The Drapes-Oxon name has been linked with quality products, services and craftsmanship for nearly forty years. We pride ourselves on the quality of our workmanship and the care we take of our customers, both private and commercial.
We offer a bespoke service for blinds and curtains of all types. Choose from our extensive range of fabrics and we will do the rest – from your first consultation to the final fitting by our experienced craftsmen. We supply beautiful metal and wooden poles; tracks both modern and traditional, wallpaper, paints and much more.
Our master upholsterers can also breathe new life into any item or we can help source furniture to create the look you desire.
We offer a full measuring and fitting service within West Berkshire, the surrounding areas as well as London. We are able to offer all the help and advice you require to work within your budget.

Daisy Lewis
Director & Owner
Daisy brings over 20 years of experience in the curtain and soft furnishings industry. She has successfully run her London-based soft furnishings business, Daisy Whitehead Designs, building a strong reputation for quality and craftsmanship. Since acquiring Drapes in 2022, Daisy has continued to drive the business forward, combining her industry expertise with a commitment to exceptional service and bespoke design. Daisy remains closely involved throughout every project and is often the first point of contact for clients. From the initial consultation to final fitting, she provides expert guidance and a personalised approach to ensure each project is beautifully executed.
Karen Ritchie
Drapes Manager
As the former owner of Drapes, Karen’s continued presence ensures a seamless sense of continuity for the business. Now leading the workroom, she brings passion, precision and an unwavering commitment to quality in every aspect of her role. With a wealth of experience and exceptional skills as a seamstress Karen exceeds clients expectations. She is known for her keen eye for colour and design, and takes pride in helping clients select the perfect fabrics for their projects. Karen frequently attends final measurements and fittings to ensure everything is completed to the highest standard. Her attention to detail helps guarantee a perfect finish for every job.
Ankie
Seamstress
Ankie began her career as a fashion designer, initially working in Hong Kong before returning to London. She then spent over 10 years as a visual merchandiser in retail, all while running a side business as a bespoke dressmaker specializing in bridal wear. With over 30 years of sewing experience, Ankie brought her extensive skills and expertise to the team at Drapes, and she hasn’t looked back since!
Ellie
Office Manager
Ellie is the person at the end of the phone who makes sure all fittings are booked in and fabrics ordered and quotes sent out in time. Keeping an efficient and organised office!
Tamsen
Seamstress
Tamsen joined the team in 2020. Having completed a Degree in Fashion Design she has a passion for sewing and in her spare time loves to embroider and make clothes. She is exceptionally good at pattern matching and jumps at any chance to use a power tool!
